AIKEN, S.C. – USCA, in conjunction with head women's soccer coach
Adam Kleman, is thrilled to announce the addition of 12 student-athletes for the upcoming academic year.
Madeleine Barteau, Olivia Bates, Leah Casolaro, Alexis Crawford, Katelyn Ensley, Emma Gause, Addison Logsdon, Gabriella Maddalena, Olivia Pia, Ruby Scott, Riley Sweetland and Anastasia Virata will continue their athletic and academic careers with the Pacers for the 2026 season.
"This is a group that as a staff we are tremendously excited to have join our program," Kleman said. "We focused on identifying players that will compete straightaway as well as positively influence the locker room. They are all competitors who have found success at the highest levels within their club environment, and we expect each of them to bring that mentality to USCA. We are eager to have them join our returners and start building for the 2026 season!"
Barteau, a defender/midfielder from Chico, California, accounted for 36 goals and 18 assists. She led her team to the league championships and section title as a freshman. The Pleasant Valley H.S. standout earned all-league honors. Barteau played for Davis Legacy SC ECNL.
Bates, a defender/midfielder from Johns Creek, Georgia, attended Northview H.S. A three-time all-region honoree, she garnered the Atlas award twice. Bates played for Atlanta Fire United ECNL and led the team to nationals in 2024.
Casolaro, a midfielder/forward from Lynbrook, New York, attended Lynbrook H.S. A three-time all-county selection, Casolaro earned Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior. She posted 28 goals and six assists her final two years. Casolaro played for East Meadow SC ECNL.
Crawford, a goalkeeper from Cypress, Texas, attended Cypress Ranch H.S. A two-time all-region honoree, Crawford posted 54 saves and 12 shutouts as a junior after notching 41 saves and 13 shutouts her sophomore campaign. Crawford played for Albion Hurricanes FC and was an ECNL U16 all-regional goalkeeper her junior year.
Ensley, a defender from Woodstock, Georgia, attended Woodstock H.S. She played for United Futbol Academy ECNL. Ensley led her club team to an ECNL top 10 national ranking. She also made the U16 all-regional Southeast Team as a sophomore.
Gause, a midfielder from Eastvale, California, attended Eleanor Roosevelt H.S. She led her team to the Southern Section title as a sophomore and to the CIF regional quarterfinals. An all-league honoree as a junior, Gause helped her team to a second-place effort in the D1 Southern Section Big VIII Conference. A two-time Southwest all-regional selection, she played for Legends FC RL and guided her team to the ECNL-RL Southwest Conference title as a junior.
Logsdon, a midfielder from Sanford, Florida, attended Seminole H.S. A two-time all-conference selection, Logsdon netted 10 goals as a junior and 11 as a sophomore. She played for Orlando Pride ECNL and was an academic honor roll honoree.
Maddalena, a defender from Medina, Ohio, attended Bishop Moore Catholic H.S. After leading her team to a state title as a sophomore, she guided her team to the state title match her junior season. Maddalena played for Orlando Pride ECNL and led her squad to the playoffs.
Pia, a midfielder from Jacksonville, Florida, attended Bishop Kenny H.S. An all-state selection as a junior, she guided her team to the Florida Class 5-A Final Four that season. Pia guided her team to a pair of district titles and a region championship her junior season. A four-year starter, Pia played club for Jacksonville FC 2007/08 ECNL and competed at ECNL Nationals in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Scott, a midfielder from Ocala, Florida, attended Vanguard H.S. A three-time all-county honoree, she was the county Player of the Year. A two-time Golden Boot honoree, Scott led the team to a district title as a freshman. After scoring 22 goals and dishing out nine assists as a sophomore, Scott had 24 goals and 16 assists her junior season. A two-time ODP state team selection, she played for Florida Premier FC ECNL. She led her team to ECNL Nationals in 2024 and 2025.
Sweetland, a goalkeeper from Bettendorf, Iowa, attended Bettendorf H.S. An all-state selection as a sophomore, she posted a .900 save percentage that season. Sweetland garnered all-district, all-conference and IAHSSCA accolades her sophomore season. She also notched an .880 save percentage as a junior. Sweetland played club for Rockford Raptors RL.
Virata, a forward from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, attended Fletcher H.S. She led her team to a pair of conference titles and a runner-up spot as a sophomore. Virata tallied 44 goals and nine assists through her junior season. She played for Jacksonville FC ECNL and led the team to the ECNL National playoffs during her freshman season.
