AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA women's soccer standouts
Greta Ohlwein and
Savannah Yerger have been named to the PBC all-conference team, which was announced Friday.
Ohlwein earned first-team honors while Yerger picked up second-team accolades.
Ohlwein leads head coach
Adam Kleman's team in goals, assists and points. She has a team-best seven goals, team-high seven assists and team-best 21 points. Ohlwein is tied for the team lead with two match-winning scores.
Ohlwein had a goal and an assist in the season-opening win over Saint Leo. She also posted a goal in the win over Converse and assisted on the match-winning score at Mount Olive. Ohlwein tallied five points on two goals and an assist in the victory at Albany State.
She found the back of the net against Clayton State and had goals in the wins over Georgia Southwestern and USC Beaufort. Ohlwein also had assists against Charleston Southern and Columbus State.
Ohlwein's seven assists on the year are tied for first in the PBC. She's tied for fourth in points (21) among league schools.
Yerger has played all 1530:00 minutes between the pipes this season. She has 116 saves and sports a 1.53 goals against average. Yerger has seven shutouts on the season.
She had a season-high 16 saves against North Georgia and posted 15 saves in the shutout victory over regionally-ranked Wingate. She also had double-digit saves against Francis Marion, Lander and USC Beaufort.
Yerger posted shutouts against Mount Olive, Coker, Albany State, Georgia Southwestern, USC Beaufort and Middle Georgia State. She also assisted on the match-winning goal against the Bulldogs.
Yerger leads the league with seven shutouts on the year. She is second in the PBC in saves per game (6.82), third in the PBC with an .817 save percentage.
