AIKEN, S.C. – USCA men's cross country standout
Daniel Kiprono has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery Student-Athlete of the Month for September.
A native of Nandi Hills, Kenya, Kiprono had three outstanding races for USCA.
At the Converse Kick-Off, he recorded a third-place finish at the 6k race after posting a time of 19:32.6.
At the Queens City Invite, Kiprono shattered the school record in the 8k. He notched a time of 25:59.79, slicing the school record by over 30 seconds.
Kiprono garnered a fourth-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational with a time of 26:24.04, marking the second-best time in school history.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2025-26 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
