AUGUSTA, Ga. – The USCA men's cross country team is picked seventh in the PBC Preseason Coaches Poll, which was announced Monday.
The Pacers totaled 27 points in the poll. Flagler was picked to win the league (62 points) while Augusta was tabbed second with 59 points. GCSU (49 points), Clayton State (39 points), Lander (34 points and Columbus State (28 points) were third through sixth, respectively. USC Beaufort was chosen eighth (18 points) while Georgia Southwestern was ninth (eight points).
Head coach
Jim Sprecher's team finished eighth at the PBC Championship a season ago.
The squad boasts all-conference performer
Daniel Kiprono, along with returners
Andrew Towner,
Evan McLeod,
Avery Farthing,
Zachary Haase,
Jase Wilson and
David Tarantino. The squad added newcomers
Cameron Clark,
Collins Lagat and
Darian Toller.
Sprecher's team opens the season at the Converse Kick-Off on Friday, Sept. 4.
