AIKEN, S.C. - The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Student-Athlete of the Week is men's cross country standout Daniel Kiprono.

A native of Nandi Hills, Kenya, Kiprono turned in an impressive performance at the Peach Belt Conference Preview.

He claimed the overall win in the 8k event, besting the second-place competitor by 15 seconds.

Kiprono clocked a time of 27:24.5 for the win. It marked the first individual race victory in the program's history since it was restarted in 2019. 

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
