DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The USCA men's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the PBC Championships Saturday morning.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by newcomer
Luis Cruzado's time of 27:01.1 at the 8k event. His time was good enough for 23
rd place.
Jacobo Garcia-Rivera was not far behind him, snagging 28
th place. Garcia-Rivera crossed the line in 27:34.6.
Zachary Haase's time of 28:25.5 allowed him to take 36
th place. Two spots behind him was newcomer
Evan McLeod, who posted a time of 28:42.9.
Jase Wilson placed 44
th after notching a time of 29:20.0.
Riley Campbell and
Julio Rojas were 47
th and 48
th, respectively. Campbell accounted for a time of 29:41.5 while Rojas finished the meet in 29:58.8.
Tyler Blowe crossed the line in 32:45.7.
Augusta won the PBC Championship with 15 total points. Flagler (45 points) was second while Georgia College & State University (101 points) rounded out the top three. Clayton State and Lander were fourth and fifth, respectively. Leonard's team totaled 169 points while Columbus State (191 points), USC Beaufort (211 points) and Georgia Southwestern (288 points) rounded out the nine-team field.
The Pacers return to action Saturday, Nov. 9 when they compete at the NCAA Regional Championships in Spartanburg, S.C.
