AIKEN, S.C. – The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Week is men's soccer standout Lucas Pegorer.

Pegorer, a native of Alpharetta, Ga., guided the Pacers to a 1-1 week.

USC Aiken trailed Georgia Southwestern 1-0 in the second half but head coach Ike Ofoje's team put together two goals in a three-minute span for the win.

Pegorer was solid throughout the entire match but his second shot on goal in the match found the back of the net for what turned out to be the match-winning goal. 

Jose Rabadan found Pegorer at the top of the box. Pegorer blasted a shot to the far post past the keeper for the golden goal.

It marked his fifth goal of his career and the second of the season. It also marked his first match-winning goal.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
