DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's cross country team finished 28
th at the NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championship Saturday.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by
Riley Campbell's 148
th-place effort. He crossed the finish line in a school-record time of 35:26.6. The mark established a record by 83 seconds.
Newcomer
Justin Kaimann posted a time of 37:01.4 in the 10k event. He finished 160
th.
Fellow newcomer
Julio Rojas crossed the finish line in 165
th place. Rojas' time was 37:38.4.
Joey Burdick accounted for a time of 38:41.1, which was good enough for 171
st place.
Julian Salas reached the finish line in 40:35.9 for 174
th place. Newcomer
Elkana Kipchumba was three spots behind Salas with a mark of 41:29.1.
Wingate won the race while Augusta and Catawba rounded out the top three spots, respectively.
