Each week, USC Aiken will post notes. This week, USC Aiken hosts Francis Marion on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Georgia College & State on Friday, Oct. 13 and Carson-Newman on Saturday, Oct. 14. 

K-Rod

Kaitlyn Rodriguez has come through in the clutch the last two matches. In the win over Flagler, Rodriguez's unique play helped USC Aiken secure the point and swing momentum in favor of the visitors. In the sweep of Georgia College & State, Rodriguez put the finishing touch on the sweep with a thunderous kill. 

Breakin' Records

With her 15 digs against the Bobcats, Kari Mercer moved into second place on the career list for digs at USC Aiken. Additionally, she moved into third place in the PBC for career digs in the 25-point rally scoring era. She now has 2,163 digs and is in fifth place all-time in the PBC. She's 85 digs away from fourth place on the all-time PBC list. 

Home Sweet Home

Through 15 matches, the Pacers have played just four home contests. The team swept Belmont Abbey, Lenoir-Rhyne and Carson-Newman and posted a 3-2 victory over North Greenville. After playing 11 matches away from the Convocation Center this season, USC Aiken now returns home for the next seven contests and nine of the final 10 regular-season matches. 

Bringing Her A Game

Sophomore Anna Sommer might have not put up the biggest numbers in the sweep of GCSU but she turned in an outstanding effort. She was second on the team with a .444 attack percentage. Sommer tallied four kills and did not commit an error. For good measure, Sommer added an assist and a dig. 

Inside The Numbers

This week, USC Aiken hosts Francis Marion on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Georgia College & State on Friday, Oct. 13 and Carson-Newman on Saturday, Oct. 14. Since moving to Division II, USC Aiken is 67-32 (67.7 percent) in Tuesday matches, 216-139 (60.8 percent) in Friday contests and 252-152 (62.4 percent) in Saturday matches. During the same time, the program is 6-7 on Oct. 10, 10-5 on Oct. 13 and 12-6 on Oct. 14.  

Against The Opponents

This week, USC Aiken hosts Francis Marion on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Georgia College & State on Friday, Oct. 13 and Carson-Newman on Saturday, Oct. 14. The Pacers hold a 50-26 edge in the all-time series against the Patriots. The squad is 22-6 in the all-time series against the Bobcats. USC Aiken holds a 10-8 advantage in the all-time series against the Eagles.
