Women's Cross Country | June 15, 2022
Throughout June, Pacer Athletics will feature a Top Moment for each sport from the 2021-22 academic year. The sixth Top Moment comes from the women's cross country program.
Every USC Aiken team has student-athletes that excel at their respective sports as well as outside their sport. One of the biggest examples of that came from the women's cross country team.
The squad featured Elite 16 award winner
Sophie King. The team also had four earn all-academic team honors from the PBC. However, collectively, the squad showed their academic ability was near the top nationally.
Recognized by the USTFCCCA, the USC Aiken women's cross country program was named to the all-academic team for the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country Season.
Although 111 different programs were named All-Academic Teams, USC Aiken had the third-highest GPA at 3.847. That ranked just behind Wayne State's 3.859 and Thomas Jefferson's 3.850.
