WINGATE, N.C. – The USCA women's cross country team finished 18
th at the NCAA Regional, which was held at Wingate University Saturday.
The team accounted for 509 total points in the 6k event.
Head coach
Jim Sprecher's team was led by
Alaynah Guthrie's 72
nd-place finish. She crossed the line in 24:39.50.
Emma Cox completed the race in 25:15.86, which was good enough for 93
rd place.
Jenna Couch took 108
th while
Bailey Kirkland was 110
th. Couch registered a time of 26:14.77, edging Kirkland's time of 26:18.81.
Ainhoa Colino garnered a time of 27:10.98, which was good enough for 126
th place.
Kendall Reynolds was 125
th with a time of 27:33.06 while
Hattie Merryman's time of 28:12.09 was good enough for 143
rd place.
Wingate won the meet while Catawba, Flagler, Anderson and Augusta rounded out the top five schools in the 24-team field.
