MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The USCA women's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the PBC Championship Saturday morning.
Head coach
Jim Sprecher's team was led by
Alaynah Guthrie's 28
th-place finish. Guthrie crossed the finish line in 20:20.0.
Bailey Kirkland was not far behind, taking 33
rd with a time of 21:05.7.
Jenna Couch was the third student-athlete to reach the finish line for Sprecher's team. She posted a time of 21:17.4 for 40
th place.
Emma Cox was 44
th after securing a time of 21:30.
Ainhoa Colino accounted for a time of 21:52.3, which was good enough for 47
th place.
Kendall Reynolds was 49
th with a mark of 22:10.8 while
Savannah Hill closed out the top seven runners for USCA in a time of 22:17.3, which was good enough for 52
nd.
Hattie Merryman recorded a time of 23:19.9 while
Anna Clare Platte tallied a time of 24:17.9.
Kyleigh Porter crossed the line in 26:03.4.
Flagler won the meet with 21 points. Augusta was second (62 points) while North Georgia (71 points), Georgia College (109 points) and Lander (140 points) rounded out the top five. USCA tallied 192 points in the 11-team race.
Bailey Kirkland was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Pacers return to action Saturday, Nov. 8 at the NCAA Regionals.
