AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standouts Emily Lammers and Kari Mercer have been named PBC All-Conference, as announced by the league office.

Lammers and Mercer each garnered second-team honors.

Lammers, a native of Fort Mill, S.C., led the league with 52 aces on the season. Her .48 aces per set also topped everyone in the PBC. She finished third overall amongst league players with 3.50 points per set. Her 381.5 points on the season were the third most as well. Lammers' 2.89 kills per frame were the fourth most in the league.

In PBC only play, Lammers' 3.44 kills per set and 203 kills ranked second. Lammers served up 28 aces against PBC teams, which was the second most. Her 0.47 aces per frame were the third most against league competition. Lammers registered a league-high 241 points against PBC teams and her 4.08 points per set marked the second most. 

The redshirt-sophomore outside hitter slammed home a career-high 25 kills against Georgia College & State on Oct. 7. She garnered double-digit kills 16 times on the season. Lammers had four aces twice and served up a career-high five aces against Montevallo.  

Mercer, a native of Hilliard, Ohio, notched 588 digs on the season, which is the most among anyone in the league. Her 5.25 digs per set were the second most among everyone in the PBC. 

Mercer accounted for 4.73 digs per set against PBC teams, which was the third most. Her 279 digs against league foes were second in the league. 

The junior from Hilliard, Ohio, established a school record with 49 digs in the win over Catawba. Mercer also reached 30 digs in three other matches on the season. Her 588 digs this season are the second most in the region and the seventh most in a single season in school history as are her 5.25 digs per frame.
