AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA volleyball standout
Kira Bostick has been named the PBC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Bostick, a sophomore from Cary, N.C., guided the Pacers to a 4-0 weekend at the USCA Invitational.
In the five-set win over Shorter, Bostick accounted for a career-high 36 digs, which marked the eighth-most digs in a five-set match in school history. She also chipped in four assists and two aces in the win.
In the win over Carson-Newman, she posted 12 digs, four aces, seven assists and a kill. Bostick had 12 digs, five assists and three aces in the victory over Lee.
She wrapped up the week with 21 digs, three assists, an ace and a kill in the sweep of North Greenville.
For the weekend, Bostick posted 81 digs, 19 assists, 10 aces and two kills. Her effort helped USCA remain the only undefeated team in the region.
