CLINTON, Miss. – The USCA volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision to Montevallo Saturday afternoon at the PBC-Gulf South Crossover.
The Pacers are now 8-2 on the season while the Falcons improve to 6-3.

Glenn Cox's team was guided by
Chloe Duzenack's 15-kill, seven-dig effort.
Alli Bishop notched 10 kills and six digs to go along with two aces.
Lexi Rogers narrowly missed a double-double with nine kills and nine digs.
Olivia Miller added five kills and three blocks.
Leilani Brown chipped in three kills and two digs.
Madison Fox dished out 21 assists while
Olivia Moffett and
Kendall Kozak added 13 and seven, respectively. Defensively,
Kira Bostick posted a team-best 18 digs.
Tied at 3-3 in the first set, Bishop started a run with a kill. Miller blocked an attempt before Bishop served up an ace for a three-point margin. Down 13-11, an error gave USCA the side-out. Another error and an ace by Bishop gave the Pacers a 14-13 edge. The back-and-forth affair saw Cox's team take a 24-21 lead behind kills from Duzenack and Bishop, along with a block from Miller. Tied at 24-24, Miller and Rogers slammed home kills for the two-point victory.
Early in the second set, Miller's kill and a block from Rogers pulled the Pacers within one, 9-8. Moments later, an error by Montevallo tied the contest at 10-10. A 6-2 run by the Falcons gave them the lead for good in the stanza in the 25-19 win.
Trailing 16-10 in the third frame, Rogers added a kill. A miscue by the Falcons made it 16-12. However, an 8-2 run by the home team gave them the cushion for the 25-16 victory.
Down 6-0 in the fourth set, USCA pulled within four after a kill from
Rusne Radaviciute. An error by the Falcons cut the deficit to three, 8-5. Miller's block made it a two-point contest, 9-7. The teams traded the next two points. Trailing 14-9, Bishop notched back-to-back kills and Radaviciute added a point, cutting the margin to two, 14-12. Cox's team trailed 21-13 before Bishop, Duzenack and
Sophie Barnes all had kills in a four-point run, making it 21-17. That was as close as the squad could get the rest of the way.
