AIKEN, S.C. – The fifth-seeded University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team is set to take on fourth-seeded Lander in the quarterfinals of the PBC Tournament on Oct. 28 at Columbus State.

The match is slated for 4:30 p.m.

The Pacers, picked to finish ninth in the PBC Preseason Poll, finished PBC play at 4-3-3 on the season. 

Head coach Tina Murphy's team will square off against the Bearcats for the second time this year. The squads played to a 1-1 draw in Greenwood on Sept. 10. 

This marks the second consecutive postseason the two teams have met in the PBC Tournament. Last year, Lander edged USC Aiken 1-0. 

The No. 5 seed is USC Aiken's best regular-season finish since being the No. 4 seed in 2006. The Pacers are looking for their first PBC Tournament victory since a 4-0 win over Lander in 2000. That season, USC Aiken was the No. 3 seed in the league tournament.
