Each week, the University of South Carolina Aiken will produce weekly notes. This week, USC Aiken plays at Georgia College & State on Tuesday. The team plays at Lander on Friday before hosting Flagler on Saturday and Sunday.

Big Matches Ahead

This week, USC Aiken has four big matches on its slate. The team plays at Georgia College & State on Tuesday, at Lander on Friday and hosts Flagler on Saturday and Sunday. Despite being fifth in the league, the Pacers can make up a lot of ground with a tremendous week in the standings.

One More Try

Earlier this season, USC Aiken lost 3-0 at Georgia College & State. On Friday, the squad lost a 3-2 decision in a contest the Pacers had chances to win. This week, head coach Glenn Cox's team will make the trek back to Milledgeville for another shot to knock off the Bobcats.

Facing Flagler

In a marquee match-up that everyone in the region circles as a contest to watch, USC Aiken hosts Flagler twice this week. It marks the first times the teams have met this season. Being the first year that teams play a three-match series, USC Aiken will get the ever-tough Saints in Aiken twice.

Personal-Best Marks

In the five-set loss to Georgia College & State, Emily Lammers posted a career-high 25 kills while Sadie McKay notched a career-best 20 kills. Lammers' 25 kills is the eighth-most kills in a five-set match during the rally-scoring era.

This week, USC Aiken plays at Georgia College & State on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Lander on Friday, Oct. 14, before hosting Flagler on Saturday, Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. Since moving to Division II, USC Aiken is 65-32 (64.9 percent) in Tuesday matches, 207-133 (60.8 percent) in Friday contests and 247-148 (62.5 percent) in Saturday matches. During the same time, USC Aiken is 4-7 on Oct. 11, 12-4 on Oct. 14, 9-3 on Oct. 15 and 6-6 on Oct. 16.
