AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standout Alie Smith has been named the PBC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Smith, an outside hitter from St. Johns, Fla., guided the Pacers to a 2-1 week. 

In the win at Lander, Smith slammed down 20 kills to go along with 11 digs, two aces and a block in the come-from-behind 3-2 win.

Against the Bobcats, Smith had 18 kills and 12 digs to go along with an ace in the sweep. Her 18 kills against Georgia College marked the seventh most in a three-set match in school history. 

She closed out the week with a 19-kill, 20-dig, three-block effort in the hard-fought loss to Flagler.
