Throughout the 2019 season, the USC Aiken Athletic Communications office will provide weekly notes, giving all of Pacer Nation an in-depth look at the team.
Durden Hits Dingers
Senior
Conner Durden gave the Pacers tremendous momentum in the middle game of the series against No. 5 Florida Southern. In the bottom of the first inning, Durden crushed a pitch for a two-run homer, giving the Pacers the lead.
Awesome Austin
Newcomer
Austin Sandifer picked up his first win as a Pacer last weekend. After
Zach Rafuse went five frames, Sandifer came in and worked an inning of scoreless relief. He faced five batters but did not give up a hit, walk or run en route to earning the victory.
Closing Time
Hunter Shuff came in during a difficult time for USC Aiken in the middle game of the series against No. 5 Florida Southern. He walked a batter as soon as he came in to load the bases, but promptly got the next three batters out to pick up the save.
