USC Aiken – Earlier this week, the NCAA released its NCAA Statistical Leaders for Division II volleyball and the University of South Carolina Aiken ranked at the top of the list for digs per set.
Last season, head coach
Glenn Cox's team took home the honor nationally at the end of the season and are No. 1 currently through the team's first 10 matches. The Pacers are currently averaging 21.11 digs per set.
USC Aiken is second in assists per set (14.03), sixth in kills per set (14.43), 13th in total digs (786), 17th in attacks per set (38.97) and 23rd in opponent hitting percentage (.120) heading into tonight's match against Augusta.
Individually,
Danielle Mercer is among the nation's best in digs per set (16th – 5.76) and total digs (23rd – 213).
Emily Teelon's 11.04 assists per frame rank 22nd nationally.
