This summer, USC Aiken will highlight student-athletes for the upcoming 2016-17 year with "What To Watch For." While several student-athletes could make a big impact on their respective teams, the ones being featured may have been under the radar in previous seasons. This segment's focus is on
Rachel Romeo.
A native of Milford, N.J., the redshirt-freshman missed the 2015 year recovering from an injury sustained in at Delaware Valley Regional H.S. While there, Romeo tallied 22 goals and dished out 36 assists over three seasons. She picked up honorable mention Hunterdon County accolades three times.
"We are looking forward to seeing Rachel showcase her skills," head coach
Hilary George said. "She missed her freshman year but worked extremely hard since Day 1 of her therapy. Rachel was a valuable assist off the field last year. She was the heart and soul of the team and didn't step on the field. We are excited about what she will bring to the team on the field this season."Â
