Box Score AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's women's soccer team lost to the University of North Florida, 5-0, today at "Pacer Pit" on the USCA campus. The Lady Ospreys (4-0-2, 1-0-0 PBC) scored two goals in a 19-second time span in the first period and then scored two goals in a span of 45 seconds in the second period on their way to a Peach Belt Conference victory over the Lady Pacers (1-5-2, 0-2-0 PBC).

Lauren Winn scored the first goal for North Florida and then assisted on the second goal. Her shot to the left corner beat USCA goalkeeper Shannon Hobbs at the 11:25 mark for the game's first goal. Ali Blochl assisted on the goal. 

Erica Williams started the first scoring spurt at the 17:43 mark when she took a pass from Winn on the right side. Just 19 seconds later, Blochl scored to give the Lady Ospreys a 3-0 lead.

The score remained the same for the first 23 minutes of the second period when North Florida struck again with two quick goals. Courtney Forson netted her fourth of the season at the 68:30 mark. The goal came off of a free kick by Blochl. Forty-five seconds later Tessa Heer gave UNF a 5-0 lead. Both second period goals came against USCA's Melanie Byars who replaced Hobbs at the break.

North Florida held a 21-1 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks. Seven Lady Ospreys recorded two shots each. Amanda Faulknham attempted the only shot for USCA.

Hobbs and Byars combined for nine saves. Haley Evans and Heather Gosselin each played one period to combined for the shutout for North Florida.

The Lady Pacers will take to the road next Saturday when they travel to face UNC Pembroke in Pembroke, N.C. The Peach Belt Conference match-up will begin at 4:30 p.m.
