Box Score CLINTON, SC--The USC Aiken Lady Pacers (5-9) suffered a 3-1 (30-20, 30-25, 28-30, 30-27) setback at the hands of the Presbyterian College Blue Hose (13-3) on Tuesday night in non-conference volleyball action in Clinton, SC. It was the Blue Hose second win over the Lady Pacers this season. Junior
Jenny Lloyd led the Lady Pacers with a game-high 23 kills.
PC took game one 30-20 behind a strong .474 hitting performance. Erin Friday tallied six kills in the opening stanza to lead the Blue Hose.
After a 30-25 loss in game two, USCA struck back with a 30-28 win in the third game to seize some momentum. Tied at 18-18, sophomore
Rachel Dalitz served up a pair of aces, two of her game-high six on the night, to push the Lady Pacers ahead 20-18.
In game four, the Lady Pacers held a 15-10 lead following two kills from Lloyd. But PC came back to knot the game up at 26-26 and pull away to the win. Lloyd added nine digs and three blocks for USCA.
Kellie Haire led PC with 21 kills while Donja Bobbitt, Lindsay Mitchell, and Jasmin Brown each added double digit kill totals.
Long had an impressive .429 hitting percentage for USCA with 16 kills to just one error in 35 attempts.
USC Aiken will open up Peach Belt Conference play this weekend when they play at Francis Marion this Friday at 7:00 PM and then at UNC Pembroke on Saturday in a 3:00 PM match.
