Box Score CLINTON, SC—USC Aiken's women's soccer team lost 4-1 to Presbyterian College last night in Clinton, S.C. The Lady Pacers (2-2-0) scored early in the non-conference match up, with a goal at 1:16, but couldn't get anything else against the eighth ranked Blue Hose (7-0-0).
Freshman
Melissa Schnoering took a pass from
Jodi Kulinitch to put the Lady Pacers ahead quickly with her fifth goal of the season less than two minutes into the game.
Presbyterian answered with a goal of its own four minutes later to tie the game. The Blue Hose scored the go ahead goal right before half time and tacked on two more in the second half to make the final score 4-1.
PC keepers Aimee Tatom and Megan Mueller faced just six shots from the Lady Pacers. On the other end USCA's keeper
Shannon Hobbs gave up three goals and had five saves.
Amber Markley took the net at 56:35 and gave up one goal and had one save. The Blue Hose combined for 18 shots.
Schnoering's two shots led the Lady Pacers and increased her season total to a team high 11.
The Lady Pacers get back into Peach Belt Conference action Wednesday when they travel to Lander University for a 4:00 p.m. match against the Lady Senators.
