Ashley Farr hit two home runs to lead the USC Aiken Pacers (21-13) to a 9-6 non-conference baseball win over West Virginia Tech (6-9) on Tuesday night at J.H. Satcher Field. The two teams waited out a 1:10 rain delay before throwing out the first pitch.
Farr finished 3-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored as USCA defeated the Golden Bears for the fourth-straight time.

West Virginia Tech grabbed their only lead of the game in the top of the third inning on an RBI double by
Cody Yerian and an RBI single off the bat of
David Ashcraft to make it 2-1. The Pacers, however, erupted for four runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead 5-2.
Freshman hurler
Rob Wilhite (2-1) gave up four earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one in 5.0 innings of work to notch his second win against one loss in three starts this season.
Adam Green worked 2.0 innings of relief surrendering two earned runs on three hits.
Lee Cromer lowered his team best ERA to 0.43 after working a perfect eighth. Sophomore
David Caison (1) picked up his first save of the season by closing out the ninth.
Eric Hunt (2-1) lasted 2.1 innings allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and four walks in recording the loss. In total, three Golden Bear pitchers issued 11 walks and hit three Pacer batters.
Brandon Green led West Virginia Tech with a two-run homer in the seventh inning.
Yerian and
Jason Brumfield were both 2-for-4 and combined to score five runs.
These two teams will play the final game of the two-game series tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
