Aiken High School: Posted a 7-3 record with two saves in 68.0 innings pitched as a senior for the Hornets...Recorded 95 strikeouts with a 2.65 ERA while holding opponents to a .179 batting average against...Named the 2001 Aiken Standard Player of the Year...Earned All-Region, All-Area, and team MVP honors...Hurled a 15-strikeout, one-hit performance in the North-South All-Star game...As a junior, Wilhite batted .303 with three doubles and 10 RBI.
