NEWBERRY, S.C. – The USCA baseball team recorded a 7-4 victory at Newberry Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 31-12 on the season.

Keith Gorman's team trailed 1-0 entering the second inning. USCA quickly took the lead with a two-run second inning. With two down,
Maverick Grigsby roped a 1-1 pitch down the left field line and moved to second on
Johann Rodriguez's walk.
Donovan Glisson belted a double to left field, plating both runners.
Tied at 2-2 in the third,
Chancellor Jennings singled and hustled to third on an error by the pitcher. He scored on a groundout by
Yariel Diaz for a 3-2 margin.
Gorman's squad extended the score to 4-2 when Diaz's sacrifice fly allowed
Osmin Melendez to race home. Melendez singled to lead off the stanza. Glisson's sacrifice fly in the fifth pushed
Salvatore Laimo across the plate and Melendez's base hit drove in Grigsby for a four-run cushion.
For the game, Grigsby rattled off three hits and scored three times.
Evan Harding, Melendez and Rodriguez had two hits apiece. Glisson drove in three while Diaz drove in two.
On the mound,
Kyle Stock got the start and went three innings. He had a pair of strikeouts.
Luke Norman threw two innings of shutout ball and had a strikeout.
Myles Chabi worked two frames and notched a strikeout.
CJ Lincoln tossed 1.1 innings and recorded two strikeouts.
Will Eichler worked two-thirds of an inning.
