AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball standout Kwajelin Farrar has been named the Willie Jewell's USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 15, 2017.

Farrar, a native of Grovetown, Ga., picked up the honor for the fourth time this year. She helped guide USC Aiken to a 3-0 week with wins over North Georgia, Francis Marion and Georgia Southwestern.

Farrar notched three straight double-doubles for the week. In the win at North Georgia, she poured in 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. In the victory over the Patriots, Farrar garnered a career-high 25 points and a career-best 14 rebounds. She wrapped up the week with a 14-point, 12-rebound performance against the Hurricanes.

For the week, Farrar averaged 17 points and 12.3 boards a contest.

The Willie Jewell’s USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
