AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball standout Jasmine Carter has been named the USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 20, 2016.

Carter, a native of Dacula, Ga., guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 15 Benedict and against Winston-Salem State.

For the week, Carter averaged a team-best 19 points to go along with five rebounds a night. She buried 39.5 percent of her shots from the floor, including 44.4 percent from downtown.

In the win over Benedict, Carter poured in 17 points and had nine rebounds, narrowly missing a double-double. For good measure, she dished out five assists and had a pair of steals.

Against the Rams, Carter netted a game-high 21 points to go along with three assists and three steals.

The USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
