AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standout Emily Teelon has been named the USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 6, 2016.

Teelon, a junior setter from Aiken, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week. She established a career high and notched a pair of double-double efforts.

Teelon registered a match-high 44 assists and tallied a career-best 24 digs in the five-set win at Columbus State Friday evening. On Saturday, she posted another double-double with a match-high 49 assists to go along with a near-personal-best 23 digs. For good measure, Teelon added three kills and a pair of aces in the win at Montevallo.

For the week, Teelon averaged 10.33 assists per frame. She was second on the team with 5.22 digs per set.

The USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
