AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standout Emily Teelon has been named the USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2016-17 athletic year ending Oct. 16, 2016.

Teelon, a junior setter from Aiken, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 4-0 week at the PBC-SAC Challenge. She netted three double-double performances.

Teelon registered 50-plus assists in two matches while contributing 48 in another. For the week, she averaged 11.31 assists and 2.38 digs per set. Teelon added nine total blocks for the week, including career-high five against Mars Hill.

She hit .600 against the Lions. Teelon distributed 51 assists against Tusculum and 55 against Mars Hill. She garnered match-high honors for assists in each contest. 

The USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
