AIKEN, S.C. – USCA baseball standout Capers Molinaroli has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery Student-Athlete of the Month for February.
Molinaroli, a redshirt-senior from
Summerville, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 9-7 month.
He accounted for a .394 batting average while starting all 16 games.
Molinaroli led the team with 26 hits, 25 RBI, 51 total bases, seven doubles and six home runs. He also topped the squad with 21 runs scored.
For the month,
Molinaroli posted a .773 slugging percentage and carried a .474 on-base percentage.
He opened the season by tying the school record with a five-hit performance in the win over Mars Hill.
Molinaroli also drove in a career-best five runs while crossing home four times.
He had a hit in 14 of the team's 16 contests, including seven multi-hit performances.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2024-25 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
