AIKEN, S.C. – The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Week is baseball standout Jack Hobson.

Hobson, a native of Sarasota, Fla., had an outstanding week for the Pacers.

In the game at Augusta on Saturday, Hobson turned in a career performance. He went three-for-five at the plate with a home run, six RBI and scored twice.

Against the Jaguars in the series finale, Hobson posted a pair of doubles, drove in two and scored once.

His effort guided the Pacers to a series victory over Augusta.

For the week, Hobson went five-for-14 with a home run, two doubles, eight RBI and three runs scored.

Defensively, he had 10 assists, three putouts and helped turn a double play.
