AIKEN, S.C. – The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Student-Athlete of the Week is men's cross country standout Daniel Kiprono.

A native of Nandi Hills, Kenya, Kiprono shattered the 8k school record at the Queens City Invitational. Kiprono finished in a time of 25:59.79, slicing the previous school mark by over 30 seconds. The previous record was 26:31.1 and was established by Luis Cruzado at the same meet a season ago.

Kiprono finished 50^th at the Queens City Invitational Friday evening. He was the top PBC finisher in the race.

Competing in his first race as a Pacer, he was the top runner by a PBC institution. He bested the next closest PBC student-athlete by 24 seconds.

Kiprono recorded a time of 19:32.6 in the 6k event.
