AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Jacob Fletcher has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19, 2023.

Fletcher, a native of Acworth, Ga., guided the Pacers to a 5-0 week.

In the win over Newberry, he worked 7.2 innings. Fletcher struck out five batters and gave up three runs on five hits.

In the road win at North Georgia on Sunday, he tossed eight scoreless frames and had eight strikeouts against only two walks. Fletcher gave up just three hits.

For the week, he tallied 15.2 innings on the mound with 13 strikeouts and three walks while giving up three runs.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
