AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout
Jakobi Pearson has been named the
Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2021.
Pearson, a junior guard from Dallas, Texas, guided the Pacers to a 1-0 week.
In the lone game of the week, Pearson poured in a game-high 22 points. He buried eight-of-nine shots from the floor, connecting on 88.9 percent of his attempts.
Pearson was two-for-three from the three-point stripe. He also canned all four free throw attempts. For good measure, Pearson recorded five steals, had three rebounds and dished out an assist in 33 minutes of work.
