University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Markus Terry has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 31, 2017.

Terry is a redshirt-senior from Atlanta, Ga.

He guided the Pacers to a 1-0 week as the squad bested Columbus State 92-74.

In the win over the Cougars, Terry registered his best all-around game since transferring to USC Aiken. He poured in a season-best 26 points. Terry connected on nine-of-11 shots from the floor (81.8 percent). He netted five-of-six from downtown (.833) and drained all three of his charity tosses.

For good measure, Terry posted three assists, two rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes of action.

He registered season-high efforts in points, field goals made, three-point field goals made, three-pointers attempted and assists.
