AIKEN, S.C. – USCA had many thrilling moments throughout the action-packed 2025-26 season. On the diamond, on the court, on the course, on the pitch and on the links, PacerSports.com will highlight an unforgettable moment from each team.
Sitting at 1-1-1 on the season entering a Wednesday afternoon match against Clayton State, head coach
Nick Sakiewicz was looking for his first career victory over the Lakers.
Trailing 1-0 entering the second period, the Pacers pushed forward while the defense continued to stand tall.
In the 66
th minute,
Rafael Reno found
Frankie Martinez, knotting the score at 1-1. Just 11 minutes later, Reno promptly blasted a shot past the keeper for what turned out to be the match-winning score.
During the final 14 minutes of the contest, Sakiewicz's squad was even better on defense. The team did not allow a shot on target – and only one of the three went unblocked. That attempt sailed high of the frame as time expired, sending the Pacers to the outstanding win.
