AIKEN, S.C. – USCA baseball standout
Salvatore Laimo has been named to the NCBWA all-region team.
Laimo, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., earned second-team accolades.

The senior second baseman earned first-team all-PBC honors. Laimo led USCA in batting average (.386), on-base percentage (.492), walks (35) and steals (32). He also shattered the PBC record for steals during league action (26). Laimo, who started all 53 games, was among the team leaders in runs (60), hits (80), RBI (62), total bases (100) and slugging percentage (.483). He was outstanding defensively, posting 123 putouts and 125 assists with just four errors for a .984 fielding percentage.
He helped USCA to a 36-17 record and a 20-10 ledger in the PBC.
