AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA baseball standout Maverick Grigsby has been named the PBC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Grigsby, a native of Lugoff, S.C., helped the Pacers to a 3-1 week.

In the win over Francis Marion, he accounted for two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs. 

He posted a two-RBI single and scored in the series-opening victory over Emory & Henry. In the second game of the series, Grigsby notched two singles, had two walks, drove in one and scored twice. He crossed home plate in the series finale.

For the week, Grigsby rattled off five hits, drove in six, had one extra-base hit and scored four times.
