AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA baseball standouts Capers Molinaroli and Hunter Thompson have been named the PBC Player of the Week and PBC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office.

The two led the Pacers to a 2-1 week.

Molinaroli, a redshirt-senior from Summerville, S.C., tied the school record with five hits in the season-opening win. He posted two doubles and a home run while driving in five and crossing home four times. After picking up a single in Saturday's contest, Molinaroli notched another base hit, drove in one and scored twice in the series-finale victory.

Thompson, a first baseman from Evans, Ga., posted two hits, drove in two and scored twice in his collegiate debut. In the middle game of the series, he notched three hits, including a double, drove in one and scored against the Lions. Thompson wrapped up the weekend with a two-hit game, including a double, in the victory over MHU.
