Sharp Looks Sharp
In the series opener against the Lions,
Josh Sharp did what he does – dazzles. Sharp went three-for-five with three RBI and two runs scored. Sharp tripled in a run in the third frame before blasting a home run off the top of the wall in right center field in the fifth stanza. Sharp also singled in a run in the ninth inning, leaving him just a double shy of the cycle.
Hobson & Molinaroli Have Solid Games
In the second game of the series against Emmanuel,
Jack Hobson and
Capers Molinaroli had solid efforts. Molinaroli had a pair of singles while Hobson had a single and a double. The two combined to go four-for-eight with one RBI and a run scored. Â
Two More Home Series
Heading into this weekend, USCA baseball has two more home series to open the season. The Pacers host Seton Hill for a three-game set Feb. 15-16 before hosting IUP Feb. 21-23 for a four-game series. Additionally, head coach
Michael Holder's team hosts Limestone in a mid-week clash (Feb. 19). All of this occurs prior to USCA hitting the road for the first time this season – a Feb. 26 game at Francis Marion.
Thompson Has A Trio Of Hits

In the series finale against Emmanuel, rookie
Hunter Thompson continued his strong start to the 2025 campaign. He went three-for-three with one RBI and a run scored. Thompson, playing as the DH, had a pair of singles and a ninth-inning solo round-tripper. It marked the second time this season he's had three hits in a contest and his fourth multi-hit effort.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USCA hosts Seton Hill on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 158-120 (56.8 percent) in Friday contests and 366-254 (59.0 percent) in Saturday games. During the same time, the program is 7-10 on Feb. 14 and 8-5 on Feb. 15.
Against The Opponent
This week, USCA hosts Seton Hill on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15. The marks the first meeting between the two programs.
