AIKEN, S.C. – USCA men's basketball standout
Caleb Byrd has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery Student-Athlete of the Month for November.
A native of Mauldin, S.C., Byrd has had a sensational start to the season for USCA.
Having started all six games, Byrd leads the Pacers with his 16 points per game average. Additionally, Byrd tops the squad with rebounds per game and total steals. He accounts for six boards a contest and has 13 thefts on the year. Byrd leads the squad with 36 made field goals, 13 three-point buckets and is second on the team with 14 assists.
Byrd recorded his first career double-double effort with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Erskine. He erupted for a career-high 26 points against Fayetteville State. Byrd also tied his career high for steals with four in the win over the Flying Fleet. He tied his career best with four assists in the win over Virginia University of Lynchburg.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2025-26 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
