AUGUSTA, Ga. – Eight University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standouts have been named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College.
Jacob Bodkin holds a 3.888 GPA in exercise and sports science while
Jacob Butler maintains a 3.653 GPA in exercise and sports science.
AJ Deibel accounted for a 3.695 GPA in business administration.
Doom Dennis accounts for a 3.879 GPA in business administration while
Jacob Fletcher tallied a 3.5 GPA with his MBA.
Luke Parker tallied a 3.685 GPA in business administration and
Josh Sharp notched a 3.984 GPA in applied computer science.
Hunter Steger garnered a 3.51 GPA with his MBA.
Additionally, Fletcher and Sharp garnered CSC Academic All-District honors for their efforts.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
