AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Josh Sharp has been named the PBC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office. 

A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Sharp had an outstanding week at the plate.

Against Coker, he went four-for-four with a home run, two RBI and crossed home plate three times.

After going two-for-five in the series opener against USC Beaufort, Sharp registered a three-for-four effort at the plate in the second game of the series. In addition to his three hits, Sharp drove in a career-high six runs.

In the regular-season finale victory over the Sand Sharks, he accounted for a hit, one RBI and scored a run.

For the week, Sharp went 10-for-16 at the plate with nine RBI. He garnered a home run and a double and also scored five times.
