Each week, USC Aiken will post notes. This week, the baseball team hosts Newberry on Wednesday, March 13 before playing at Flagler on Friday, March 15, Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17.

Hitting A Homer

In the series finale at Georgia Southwestern, newcomer Brock Myers crushed his first career round-tripper. It occurred in the third inning. Trailing in the game, Myers led off the frame and promptly blasted a pitch over the left field wall for the solo shot. It also marked his 11^th RBI of the season and team-leading 23^rd run. 

Sharp Looked Sharp 

In the series at Georgia Southwestern, veteran Josh Sharp continued to befuddle opposing pitching. In the opener, he went three-for-three at the plate. Sharp went two-for-three in the second game of the series before finishing up the three-game set by going two-for-four. Overall, Sharp went seven-for-10 (.700) on the weekend, raising his batting average to .371. 

Quick Rematch

Last week, USC Aiken lost a hard fought 8-7 game at Newberry. This week, the Pacers have a chance to get back on track against the Wolves. The teams square off for the last time this season Wednesday evening at Roberto Hernandez Stadium.  

One Quick Stop At Home

After the single home game on Wednesday, the Pacers hit the road once again – this time for their second consecutive PBC opponent. USC Aiken will have played six of their nine league games on the road after the weekend series at Flagler. 

Inside The Numbers

This week, the baseball team hosts Newberry on Wednesday, March 13 before playing at Flagler on Friday, March 15, Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 139-66 (67.8 percent) in Wednesday games, 157-113 (58.1 percent) in Friday contests, 361-347 (59.3 percent) in Saturday games and 216-162 (57.1 percent) in Sunday affairs. During the same time, the program is 14-8 on March 13, 13-6 on March 15, 10-10 on March 16 and 14-3 on March 17.
