AIKEN, S.C. – After finishing in second place at the Wexford Intercollegiate, the University of South Carolina Aiken golf team soared into the No. 5 spot by the National Collegiate Golf Rankings, powered by clippd.

North Georgia remained at the top spot while Lincoln Memorial and Georgia Southwestern round out the top three. Colorado State University Pueblo is No. 4.

USC Aiken garnered a second-place finish at the Wexford Intercollegiate in the 18-team field. Head coach Michael Carlisle's team was the lone Division II team to compete at the event.

In the fall portion of the slate, the team took third at the Bearcat Fall Invitational, fifth at the Cateechee Fall Invitational, sixth at the Furman Intercollegiate and was ninth at the Mizuno Intercollegiate.

The Pacers return to action Feb. 26-27 at the Spring Bulldog Clash, hosted by Barton.

Overall, five PBC schools are in the Top 25.
