COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's cross country team finished 11
th at the Akiah McMillan Invitational Saturday afternoon.
In the 8k event,
Justin Kaimann led the way with a time of 27:53.5. His time was good enough to place 26
th.
USC Aiken's 8k school-record holder,
Julio Rojas, was 40
th after crossing the line in 28:49.2. Upperclassman
Riley Campbell notched a time of 30:08.7, which was good enough for 60
th.
Joey Burdick turned in a time of 31:57.4. His time allowed him to take 76
th.
Julian Salas registered an 80
th-place effort after crossing the line in 33:23.4.
Belmont Abbey won the meet while Augusta, UNC Pembroke, Tusculum and SCAD rounded out the top five teams in the 15-team field.
The Pacers return to action Friday, Oct. 6 at the Royals XC Challenge.
