th season at the helm has come with something he can't control – the weather. USC Aiken played just one match last week due to the weather. The squad also lost a pair of scrimmages during the preseason due to weather.
Straight Into The PBC
With the postponement of the Barton contest due to the weather, USC Aiken jumps straight into PBC play with only one match under its belt. The team takes on Clayton State Wednesday at home starting at 7 p.m.
Glimpse Of What Could Be Done
In the season-opening match against Newberry, USC Aiken came out of the gate and was tremendously aggressive in the offensive third of the pitch. The defense was stout throughout as well. The Pacers held a 13-10 edge in shots and earned four corner kicks for the match.

This week, USC Aiken hosts Clayton State on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and plays at Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, Sept. 10. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 43-106-19 (31.3 percent) in Wednesday matches and 64-118-18 (36.5 percent) in Saturday games. During the same time, the team is 3-5 on Sept. 7 and 5-4 on Sept. 10.
