AIKEN, S.C. – Behind the lowest round in PBC Championship history and the third-lowest individual score in the tournament's history, the University of South Carolina Aiken golf team moved into a tie for second place Saturday afternoon.

Michael Carlisle's team shot eight-under par, 276, to climb within striking distance of leader Columbus State. The 276 marked the lowest round in tournament history.
For the event, the Pacers shot a two-round, eight-over par, 576. The team opened the tournament with a 16-over par, 300, on Friday.
Columbus State leads the field at six-over par, 574. The Pacers are tied with North Georgia. The Nighthawks shot 293-283 over the first 36 holes of competition.
Flagler is fourth (+11) while Georgia Southwestern is fifth (+12). Clayton State (+14), Lander (+17), Georgia College (+30) and Young Harris (+48) complete the field.
Charlie Denvir's six-under par, 65, marked the lowest round in PBC Championship history. The six-under par is the third-best score in championship play. Matt Atkins and Juan Iturra posted seven-under par, 65, scores during their respective tournaments on a par-72 course.
Denvir and
Oscar Abrahamsson are tied for fourth at the event. The two stand at two-under par, 140. Abrahamsson shot three-under par, 68, for the round.
Leo Johansson notched a score of one-under par, 70, during the second 18 holes of play and is tied for 18
th at four-over par, 146.
Leonardo Bono is tied for 28
th.
